Alexey Goncharov
ARD Executive Secretary
Alexey is trained as a geophysicist and has a PhD in this field from the St-Petersburg Mining Institute in Russia, where he worked until 1994, when he moved to Australia with his family. Alexey has worked at Geoscience Australia until 2018. He led a number of major geoscience projects in Australia: onshore in Mount Isa, offshore on both North-West and Southern Margins, and in the Australian Antarctic Territory (cooperatively with Russian scientists). Later in his career Alexey led the establishment of the Australian National Ocean Bottom Seismograph Fleet, a new to Australia high-tech research capability.
Alexey sees overcoming stereotypes in the perception of Russia in Australia, and of Australia in Russia as a key challenge for the ARD and he is willing to work on dismantling the existing stereotypes.
Olga Sudnitsin

Olga is a very experienced business and technology visionary professional playing pivotal role in business and technology partnering and alignment between critical business operations, technical functions (especially Centres of Excellence) and broader technology across both digital and non-digital scopes. She orchestrated many successful business and technology partnering models that are currently yielding results within BHP and other organisations. Olga’s background is very diverse and strong in Mining sector, Oil/Gas and Capital Delivery, Infrastructure and Technical functions support roles with base tertiary qualification in Engineering and IT. She is a great team player, able to work very effectively with wider direct and virtual teams. Fully capable of managing multidisciplinary diverse teams, managing stakeholders’ expectations, establishing assurance systems for framework, continuously improving business services and drive system utilisation/uptake and efficiency metrics in an agile manner to deliver business outcomes required.
Leonid Skoptsov

Leonid has more than 20 years of resource exploration, development and operational experience in Russia. He became a Director of Ovoca Gold Plc in June 2006 and later became Chief Executive Officer from 2006 to 2009. Leonid was also Chairman of OAO Pervaya Gornorudnaya Companiya, a zinc-lead asset developer, from 2001 to 2005 and Chairman of OAO Volganeft, a mid-tier oil producer in Russia which was successfully sold to Russneft, from 2000 to 2004. Until 2017 Leonid worked as Government relations Manager, Tigers Realm Coal.
